War and Bloodshed Everywhere, Not Happy But New Year

From Palestine to Ukraine, no place is sustained,

In the ashes of hope, only sorrow remains.

The cries of the fallen, the ruins of the past,

A world in turmoil, where peace does not last.

From Syria to a land where the echoes collide,

People live under militias, nowhere to hide.

The streets soaked in blood, the skies filled with fear,

A century's scars, no future draws near.

No human rights preserved, no life safe from harm,

Innocence lost in the wake of alarm.

Where women are shadows, stripped of their right,

Voices extinguished, banished from sight.

The freedom of speech is dead, a silenced threat,

Where truth is erased, and justice is unmet.

The earth, too, weeps under skies torn apart,

Floods and wildfires, nature's anguished heart.

The year turns anew, but hope's flicker is dim,

We greet the new year with hearts worn thin.

War and bloodshed, everywhere we go,

Not happy, but weary, as the winds still blow.

Yet in the shadows, there's a yearning, a plea,

For peace, for justice, for all to be free.

In the face of despair, let voices rise high,

For the dawn of tomorrow, where no one shall die.

A happy new year is not just a date,

But a world rebuilt from ashes of hate.

When nature is healed, and all live without fear,

Only then can we truly say, "Happy New Year."
