Should I Not Wake Up Tomorrow

Should I Not Wake Up Tomorrow

Should I not wake up tomorrow
Just remember me
I was the man you once knew
Who got lost more than a time or two

But I always found my self
Somewhere along the way
When I was tired I slept
But only after I prayed

Should I not wake up tomorrow
Do not cry for me
I do not want your pain and sorrow to be my destiny

I never begged or borrowed
I lived the best I can
When I was hungry I ate
But only after I washed my hands

Should I not wake up tomorrow
Plant a tree for me
I will hug you with my branches
And kiss you with my leaves

You will never be far from me
And I never far from you
When the calm wind blows
That is me just passing through

Should I not wake up tomorrow
There will be a smile on my face
As the angels carry me away to that very special place

I had my fun and I loved a ton
I've been there and done that
I played my cards and I played them hard
I even hit at black jack

Should I not wake up tomorrow
I will not think of what I didn't get to do
I will skip from star to star
And thank God for every minute I got to spend with you

Some time will pass but I will see you again
I will wait at the pearly gates
With my family and friends
